Black Urad dal (whole) is a round, black lentil cooked in different ways. This dal can be cooked with onion and garlic. Soak it in water for at least an hour before cooking for best results.
:Also known as black grams are lentils with black cover and cream from interior. They have strong, rich and earthy flavor derived from the skin. When split it called as Urad split and if the cover is peeled off it becomes the Urad Dal.
